Christina Rudman Bio

I am a wildlife and naturalist who is passionate about photography.  My love of animals started young, as I grew up on a farm in Indiana.  I won my first camera, a Kodak 110 instamatic with a 4-sided flashcube in high school.  That was the moment when I became hooked on photography.  I love the ability to capture that one moment that speaks a thousand words.  As a self-taught photographer, I continue to learn every day and hone my skill set. While my camera and depth of experiences have evolved over the years, I still find it exhilarating to get that “shot”.

After learning to scuba dive, underwater photography became a natural addition to my portfolio.  I have been fortunate to travel around the world in pursuit of capturing wildlife in its natural habitat.  As a result, “surf and turf” photography has been my passion for over three decades.  I am thrilled to have discovered several undescribed and unnamed species during one of my underwater adventures. 

My work is published in Reef Creature Identification Tropical Pacific by Paul Humann and Ned DeLoach. I hope that my photography will motivate and inspire people to go outdoors and admire our world, conserve the natural wonders of our planet and see Mother Nature at her finest.  Please enjoy the photo journey presented and view the world through my camera lens.
